Xbox 360, Netflix and openDNS

Have a 360?
Use it online?
Watch Netflix on it?
Annoyed when your 8Mb connection only gives you 1 bar while trying to watch a movie you’ve never heard of?

Thanks to this thread, I found a way to solve that.

Just hard code the openDNS servers into your router and your xbox, and automagically get better connection speeds to anything you can point an xbox at!

Don’t delay, try it today!

I found a new mailbox!

altepeter mail is hosted on google apps for domains, and I always use the gmail interface for personal mail, but work email is a different story.

I refuse to use Outlook (and the UI direction they are taking is not helping to sway me), and Horde (the webmail we use) is annoying.  This pretty much left me with Thunderbird.  Thunderbird is great, and has always given me what I needed out of a mail client, but it felt like it was missing something (even if I couldnt figure out what it was missing).

Then, earlier this week, I stumbleupon-ed this new mail client based on Thunderbird that is currently in Beta.

All week I have been using PostBox and love it.  It has so many great features that you never knew you wanted, yet don’t know how you lived without once you have them.

From their site:

A new kind of messaging application, the Postbox™ email client helps you spend less time managing email and more time using email to get things done. Postbox automatically analyzes your e-mail messages, documents, photos, and links to web pages; then it catalogs all this information making it faster to search for and retrieve.

Easy-to-use tagging features let you organize messages the way you want and then focus on one project at a time without missing out on important new messages. You can also view messages by conversation, edit messages, and create to-do items that appear in mailbox windows.

Definitely check it out! Click my new mailbox!
