As a huge proponent of everything open source and anything ending in “x”, I wish there was more we could do to get Linux into the hands f the “mainstream”.
Obviously there are many reasons it isn’t, but what is being done to fix that?
I guess the first step would be to identify the problems before you cant tackle them. Over at Content Consumer, he’s taken that first step, by challenging his (non Linux user) girlfriend to accomplish some tasks on an Ubuntu system. The results are enlightening, and the article makes for a good read.
